Chapter 5

The wind blew the curtains off my room window. At that moment, my room was ever so peaceful. I lay on my bed reading the latest VOGUE magazine and hanging my feet on the air. It’s the school holidays already. After weeks of mugging for the year end exams, I’m finally free. Omma and Appa suggested that I go on a holiday with Kibum. But to where? We could ask Siwon and the rest of our friends along as well. I dialed Siwon’s number.

“Yeoboseyo.”

“Yeoboseyo Andee. What’s up?”

“I want to ask if you are interested to join me and kibum for a holiday. We have not decided where yet.. maybe u could give a few suggestions.”

“A holiday sounds great! Asking heechul and eunhyuk too?"

"Could u help me ask them? Heechul, and Eunhyuk.”

“Arasseo. How about Bali? I heard the beaches are nice and they have spas in their resorts too.”

“Oh! Bali sounds great! I will confirm the date later. Call you back later with more details. Ask the rest if they are ok with Bali. Annyeong.”

Bali? Hmmm.. that’s a good suggestion. I turned to my laptop which is already switched on. I typed ‘bali resort holiday’ into google.com search engine. I nearly screamed when the page finished loading. The sceneries near Intercontinental Resort Bali, Jimbaran was magnificient!!

“Kibum!! Come here and take a look at this!!! We’re going to Bali!!”

He was in my room in a matter of seconds.

“Hahaha..you’re so excited nuna. We shall book 3 nights at the hotel. Is that enough? One day for the beach. One day for shopping and sight seeing. And add one more day for the spas and the beach again.”

“We surely love the beach don’t we?!! For laughing out loud kibum.!! Siwon is confirming it with heechul and eunhyuk. Is that ok with u?”

“Sure. I’ve known them for quite some time now.”

“I cant wait!!”

I picked up my phone and called Siwon again to fill him with the details. We then made conference calls with Heechul and Eunhyuk. After much discussion over the date, we chose to stay from Wednesday to Saturday, which is just 3 days away. And we’re leaving on for Bali on Tuesday night.

Wednesday morning..I was in the limo which we rented to pick us up from the airport ..along with siwon, kibum , heechul and eunhyuk. The scenery in bali was beautiful. The sight of the mountains and plantations, along with greenery of everything, was so refreshing. We made it to our holiday resort in 30minutes.

Heechul and eunhyuk practically ran towards the lobby like little children. Despite the tiredness after the flight, we were so looking forward to the beaches. I approached the reception counter to acknowledge our arrival while the others took our luggage and waited at the lobby. Some were already seated comfortably at the seats. We took 2 rooms, me and kibum in one and the other three males at the other room. The lady behind the counter was about to hand me the keys when I heard kibum shouted.

“hyung!!”

I turned to my left to see him hugging 4 gorgoeus hunks..oh my god who are those good looking guys I wondered. The others were behind him with curious looks on their faces.I thanked the lady and took the keys. Soon I was making my way towards the crowd of good looking asian guys..including siwon, heechul and eunhyuk.

“Hi guys, I’ve gotten the keys..”

The 4 good-looking guys I mentioned earlier looked towards my direction once they heard my voice. Who is so lucky to have them looking at me like that? And soon each smiled acknowledging my presence.

“ Nuna!! Come and meet my seniors from my school."

Who would have thought that the guys in kibum's school are hot hunks. Too bad its an all-boys school..

"This super cool guy with the black hair is Kim Jaejoong. The masculine guy beside him is Jung Yunho. The one on his right is Kim Junsu and lastly we have Shim Changmin. Hyungs, this is my sister, Kim Andee.. What are u guys doing here? On holiday too??”

At the mention of my name, Yunho, the masculine guy Kibum introduced earlier glazed at me with great interest. Changmin if I’m not mistaken answered Kibum with,

“ Yeah, we’re on holiday. It’s so great to see u again Kibum, and nice meeting all of you. We’ve just arrived actually.”

“ Same here. Where are all of u heading?” Heechul exclaimed and asked the guys.

“Hmmm..we thought of going to the beach. We’re still waiting for another hyung to come down. where is this guy?”

Judging from their attire, they are ready for fun. They look so hot in Bermudas and sleeveless shirts.

“We’re heading to the beach too once we got settled with the luggage. Who are you waiting for? I asked.

“Speaking of the devil here he comes..” Junsu said with his eyes looking over my shoulder.

I turned to follow his eyes just to see someone familiar with super cool shades on him. Totally making all the other female guests turn with awe.

“Sorry hyungs im late..” he turned to me and shouted.

“Andee?!! U are here too!! And siwon heechul and eunhyuk!! How are u guys?!!”

“Halo micky yoochun..nice to see you again.” That was what I heard coming out from siwon’s mouth. I was too shocked to even answer.

Yunho's pov

I stood there gazing at the girl we just met. None of the guys noticed anything because they did not know. Siwon, whom we were introduced to earlier was her best friend who was now leading the conversation. The girl said hi to micky with a forced smile and said she needed to get to her room. She handed the keys to the rest of her friends and then headed to the lift. Siwon, heechul and eunhyuk practically understood why and just nodded.

"Hyungs, why dont u guys get settled first and we'll meet at the beach?" Jaejoong said.

"Alright. See you later." Kibum said and waved goodbye. I was approached by micky.

"Hyung, i didn’t know she would be here."

"I was surprised as well. I dont think she was comfortable seeing you here but she forced a smile

"i noticed it too. i just hope she's okay."

"hyungs, what are u talking about?" jaejoong interrupted.

"its nothing, i was just telling micky that those were a good bunch of people. Glad that we could meet fellow koreans in Bali."

"oh.."

Jaejoong's pov

i refuse to believe so. i know they are hiding something. Junsu and Changmin are too clueless to notice anything.There's sth about the girl too. Kim Andee. She has an aura in her. Its like when she enters a room, her presence will be deeply felt.I was determined to find out what was her relationship with micky and yunho.

We reached the beautiful beach near our resort in a few minutes. Junsu was screaming and jumping around saying,

" i love the beach!!" I rolled my eyes.

This junsu, he is so chirpy. I wonder how he managed to be so energetic 24/7. In seconds, they were already in the water. I sat at the bench, admiring the beautiful skyline and the tropical weather. This sight is priceless.

"Jaejoong hyung, come and join us." Junsu said.

That moment, hands were on me. Micky and Yunho grabbed me at the shoulders. Junsu and Changmin grabbed my legs. Just after a few swings, I was in the water.

"AHH!! Babo-s!!! " I shouted.

"hahaha hyung!! its so funny!! lets do it again!!" Changmin shouted.

"I'll get you guys for this. How can you do this to your eldest hyung!"

"Dont blame me. its yunho's idea!" changmin replied, trying to be defensive.

"hahahahahahaha" yunho just laughed.

My mp3 is blasting in my ears. There i was, hurt but does he really cares? But i can’t blame him forever. Andee!! Why do u keep thinking of the past. Things happen and you have to move on. Where did i go wrong, i lost a friend. i lost micky, a person who could be a very good friend to me.. babo! stupid me! i slapped myself. What do u gain over this brooding over the past thingy? its over!! just get over it and be happy again. be brave and show that u are independent. You dont have to have a guy. you dont need a man!!There goes the voices in my head. My self-consiousness.

"Haiz..." i sighed.I came here for a holiday and to have fun. I don’t want to dwell over the past. I have to ignore the hurt i felt and make happy memories. i hope the happy memories could overcome the pain. i just hope..

"Nuna, if you are ready we could head down.'' my dongseng asked.

"U and the rest go ahead first. I'll catch up later." Soon i hear the door close behind me.

Im here to have fun. I took my hand and touched my heart. Pretending to grab every thing that hurts, i blew all the pain away. Let the wind take away the pain and bury them somewhere. I do not wish to feel it again.

i looked at the mirror, "i don’t look that bad" i smiled.

I grabbed a pair of shades, swimwear and a change of clothes.. stuffed them into my chanel tote, and rushed to meet the rest at the beach.

I was at the beach, but i couldn’t find the guys..Which part of the beach are they?hmmmm.. i'll get some alome time while i slowly find them.I smelled the wind. its so peaceful. the sand tickled my toes... its so nice to have the feel.. walking along the beach, hearing the waves splashed to the shore, and watch the beautiful blue sky..

Suddenly hands were covering my eyes and soon i heard a lot of voices.

"Andee, why were u so late?" i knew that voice for sure, heechul's. roll eyes again.

But i dunno who's covering my eyes. I grabbed the hand and slowly pushed it down and turned. Micky, with that charming smile of his, was standing there just before me.

"Admiring the scenery huh? And kept us waiting for so long?"

I smiled.

"sorry guys. I was a little caught up back there." They dragged me to a spot where they put their belongings.

"Hey, lets play volleyball" junsu said.

"Good idea. Can i play too?" i said.

"yeah sure!!" Eunhyuk answered.

"leave me out" heechul quickly replied. "i don’t want to sweat."

haha that guy simply cannot make it.

"okay so andee, jaejoong, changmin and me in a team. Then we have yunho, micky siwon and eunhyuk in the opposite team. kibum is left out?" Junsu said.

"nevermind. i'll play the next round." Kibum said.

"ok well lets play!" and soon we spent the next two hrs playing.

"Oh god these guys are so competitive." I finally admitted.

"haha. Just because you're the only gal here" I turned to see Jaejoong smirking at me.

"yeah, bad luck huh? haha." I replied.

"you are pretty sporty i guess. Much better than any gals i know."

"i'll take it as a compliment then."

"Hehe..wanna grab a drink?" He asked.

"yeah sure.. lets go.

The night breeze blew pass me as I stand near the shore. The sea was calm although there were small waves splashing to the surface. The sky was pitch black but was accompanied by twinkling stars. Tonight is the last night. Tomorrow morning we will be off back to Korea. I have been spending the holiday together with the newly found friends. Shopping and all other recreational activities were spent together as a group. Heechul and Eunhyuk were also getting comfortable and joked around with the rest. The five guys from Kibum’s school are great playmates too.

I walked from the shore towards the rest of the gang. They were having a campfire and was ‘burning marshmallows’, literally.

I sat beside Siwon on the sand.“Siwon, where is Jaejoong and Micky?” I was concerned.

“They went back to the resort to take some stuff. They should be back by now.” He replied.

“Oh.”

“Andeeshi, grab some marshmallows..”

“Sure. Thanks Eunhyukshi”I grabbed the packet of marshmallows and took a long stick.

“Nuna, you want some coconut drink?” Kibum turned to me.

“Coconut drink? Is it nice?”I asked.

“Seems so. Heechul just bought it. It’s pretty interesting to drink from a coconut fruit. No preservatives or added sugar.”

“Hahaha.. sure I’ll try some.” He handed me the big green fruit. A small circle was cut on the top and I just put a straw into it.

“Not bad. We don’t have these in Korea.”

That moment, I saw Jaejoong and Micky returned. Jaejoong took a seat next to me while Micky sat at the opposite. I could see his face across the campfire.

“I brought a guitar. Let’s sing a song.” Micky spoke up.

“Lets sing 'One' by Dong bang shin ki. Everyone know the song rite?” Junsu suggested.

“Iye..” everyone answered in unison and nodded.

“Hmm.. how do I play it..” He was figuring how the tunes should sound and played with the guitar.

“I think that should be it. Jaejoongie will sing first right, and we will all sing the chorus together.”I shivered. The breeze is so cold. I should have gone back to the resort and take my jacket.

Suddenly Jaejoong said. “Hey. You look cold. Here, take my jacket.”

“Nah.. its ok.” I was rejecting it politely. He was already taking off his jacket and putting it over my shoulder.

“That’s very kind of you. Kamsahamnida.” I thanked him and smiled.

“No problem.” Jaejoong said and smiled back.

I was embarrassed. I pretended I didn’t notice and looked across.

Then Micky continued to sing.

Going beyond these moments, like lies
to ever changing days..

“Omo!! I never knew you had strong voices!!” Heechul and the rest gave a round of applause.

I sat there smiling. But I still didn’t make any eye contact with Jaejoong.

Junsu sat there smiling shyly.

“Nah, we’re not that good. We are still improving, but thanks to your praises everyone. Thank you.”

“So are u guys planning to become singers someday?” Siwon asked.

“ Junsu is planning to sign a contract with a recording company. So we should hear from him soon..” Changmin who sat beside Junsu patted his friend’s back.

“Oh that’s so cool.. and the rest?” Eunhyuk continued.

“Me and Jaejoong haven’t decided what to do. However, most probably we will continue with college once we get our results. We were thinking of joining Seoul Arts College.” Yunho replied.

“Yeah. Good for them. I have one more year in high school with the rest of you guys. There’s not much that I can do” Changmin continued.

“Micky will be modeling for Armani Exchange I heard. Aint that right hyung?”

Micky nodded and smiled shyly.

“Wow. Our sunbae is going to be famous. More girls is going to chase after him.” Heechul said. I can’t help but laugh. Who would know how true that statement was.

The rest of the night was spent singing songs and playing games. I was enjoying myself and was thinking about Omma, Appa and Ji Hoon oppa.
I miss them so much.
